We recommend that you change your wiper blades every year – after all the average set of wipers cover the equivalent area of 40 football pitches every year.
Pay particular attention to any debris that has collected around the area the blades are in their parked position as small pieces of grit and leaves can get wedged under the rubber squeegee causing streaks to appear when the wipers are operational. The fitting adaptor should be checked for signs of any wear that might be the cause of a noisy or jerky wiping action and the whole wiper replaced if found to be worn. The wiper blade squeegee should also be checked to make sure it hasn’t hardened or developed any cracks due to sunlight exposure.
